Skift Take

ANA has been bullish about the Dreamliner from the start and sees it as a way to both standardize and streamline its fleet and to make strategic inroads into new markets.

All Nippon Airways (ANA), the first airline in the world to fly passengers on the Boeing 787 “Dreamliner,” says it wants more of the planes.

ANA flew the first regularly schedule passenger flight on a Dreamliner in October 2011, and already had 55 of the jets on order. There are 13 currently in the airline’s fleet.
