Travefy Acquires Another Group Travel-Planning Site

Skift Take

Established trip-planning sites, whether they deal in individual travelers or groups, are not fearful of this acquisition.

Two small group travel planning startups have joined forces as Travefy announcing that it has acquired Tripeese, a San Francisco-based group vacation organizer.

Tripeese accounts will be rolled into the Travefy platform, and Rodrigo Boscolo and Matheus Riolfi, who co-founded Tripeese in 2013, will advise Travefy. Terms of the combination were not disclosed.

Lincoln, Nebraska-based Travefy, which debuted in beta in late 2013 and has raised $365,000 in total funding, faces an uphill battle in trying to build a brand in the very complex group-travel-planning space.
