Yatra Picks Tech-Savvy CEO for Its Next Phase as Dhruv Shringi Moves Up to Chairman

Yatra wants to move from being a travel seller to a company that helps businesses manage all parts of employee travel, and bringing in a tech-heavy CEO is its clearest signal yet.
India-based online travel company Yatra Online said Tuesday that Siddhartha Gupta will take over as CEO, effective November 25. The company also elevated Co-Founder and long-time CEO Dhruv Shringi to executive chairman of the board. The move comes as Yatra sharpens its focus on corporate travel and doubles down on technology and AI to drive growth.
Shringi has led Yatra since the company’s early days. Under his watch, Yatra moved beyond a simple flight-and-hotel booking site to build managed travel services for companies. Yatra said in a statement that Shringi would steer long-range strategy “with a sharp focus on global expansion, innovation, and shareholder value creation.”
