Yanolja Teams With ChatGPT and Google. More AI Partnerships to Come, CEO Says

Industry leaders envision a future where consumers can plan, book, and manage all aspects of travel from a single interface. These early partnerships between AI and travel companies bring that vision a step closer.

Yanolja, the online travel agency based in Seoul, is teaming up with Google Cloud to develop AI services for travel companies.

Yanolja said late last month it’s also working with OpenAI to enhance the trip planning experience within ChatGPT. 

And there are more partnerships coming with other AI companies — all part of a greater plan for a smoother travel experience from start to finish, according to Yanolja CEO Jeff Kim.

“We are collaborating with many gen AIs, so we will announce many kinds of collaborations from now on,” Kim told Skift. 

Yanolja has grown into one of South Korea’s largest travel companies. As an online travel agency, Yanolja enables users to book flights, hotels, vacation rentals, ground transportation, and experiences. The company also supplies hotel inventory to travel sellers like Booking Holdings and Expedia.

Its portfolio includes 1.3 million hotels worldwide. The company said it completed $19.8 billion in transactions in 2024, up 186%.
