Delivering on the need to make meetings more experiential, The Venetian Resort created the “Five Rooms Experience,” an immersive, multi-room event during the Cvent Connect conference which took place in July. SkiftX traveled to Las Vegas to uncover how the brand went about designing the space and how the event was created to mirror its newly revealed brand pillars.
The five pillars — fully integrated, built for business, sustainability, innovation, and convenience — are essential to the hotel’s meeting and event strategy and represent the unique characteristics of the property, according to Chandra Allison, senior vice president of sales at The Venetian.
Each of the five spaces at the event were designed to bring these notions to life in a fun and experiential way: The sustainability room featured locally grown cuisine and a living garden. The convenience room centered around an alcohol-infused Red Bull slushie machine. No matter where you looked, there was something to pique your interest: airbrush tattoos, a bongo-playing DJ, a litany of creative installations designed for selfies, and a peek-a-boo wall, where white-gloved hands emerged to serve craft cocktails to guests.
The event organizers hope that this event will spark the imagination of meetings industry professionals. “We hope that sharing an experience like this will inspire our meeting planners to come up with creative ideas as they think about hosting their next event here at the Venetian,” said Allison.
