Here are two companies that announced they raised funding this week, listed in order by the highest amount raised. See previous roundups here.

>>Verlocal raised a $2.6 million seed round from new investors Amidzad Partners, Big Basin Capital, Seven Seas Venture Partners and VenturesLab. This is the San Francisco-based startup’s second funding round but its first round was not disclosed.

Verlocal was founded in 2014 and connects locals who offer classes or activities with other locals or travelers looking for things to do during their trips. So far the startup is live in five U.S. cities including New York, Seattle and San Francisco and locals can also sign-up on the site to host classes and activities.

>>Bucket raised a $1 million seed round from new investor Slow Ventures and this is the San Francisco-based startup’s first funding round.

Bucket is a trip-planning startup and lets travelers keep all of their trip ideas in one place. It also transforms trip ideas into a visual, interactive trip guide with rating, reviews and recommendations. Bucket also lets locals make recommendations and allows friends planning a trip to collaborate on their ideas.
