New York City’s bike share stations: Coming soon to a street corner near you

Skift Take

NYC’s bike share will be a fantastic opportunity for locals and tourists alike. The only danger in the new system are safety issues, which are likely to arise on main roads and crowded bike lines.

New Yorkers, meet your Citi Bike station locations.

The New York City Department of Transportation recently released an interactive map showing the draft locations of 293 stations located across Manhattan (below Central Park) and downtown Brooklyn . (That number is down a bit from last year’s projected launch of 420 stations.)

The system, which is scheduled to launch next month, will eventually grow to 10,000 bikes and 600 docking stations around the city.
