Storm technology plows ahead with PlowNYC interactive map

Like Uber and other car service apps that enable users to pinpoint their rides, PlowNYC enables New Yorkers to track plows in their neighborhoods as they dig out from the Nemo snowstorm.

New Yorkers can find out when city workers will plow their streets with a new interactive map — just in time for the enormous blizzard named Nemo.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg discussed the mapping application PlowNYC at the Office of Emergency Management in Downtown Brooklyn Friday.
