Hilton Hotels announces that it’s headed to Bangladesh for the first time

Bangladesh has had some success in leveraging natural resources to improve tourism -- one of the least developed sectors in the country -- as both Hilton and Starwood are opening hotels prior to 2016.

Hilton Worldwide signed an agreement with Premier Hotels & Resorts to manage Hilton Dhaka, Bangladesh in central Dhaka. The agreement will see the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Bangladesh and mark Hilton Worldwide’s entry into the country.

Scheduled to open in 2015, the 250-room Hilton Dhaka, Bangladesh is located in the central business district and commercial zone of Dhaka city and home to majority of the city’s embassies, high commissions and key multi-national companies.
