United new ad campaign for Team USA, plain vanilla as ever.

United, which has been Team USA’s airline of record for over 30 years, has launched its new TV ad campaign just as the London 2012 Olympics start. The commercials – under the direction of Joe Pytka – are narrated by Matt Damon, and feature a new arrangement of United’s signature theme, “Rhapsody in Blue,” by the London Symphony Orchestra.

The two ads are on YouTube, here and here. Strangely, United does not allow embedding the ads.

United’s agency-of-record, McGarryBowen, developed the campaign with the airline.
