UBM Sells Travel Trade Gazette To Management

Skift Take

While there is some value in TTG as the first weekly travel trade publication in the world, launched in 1953, digital hasn't been kind to the company or the sector is operates in. Hopefully this management structure gives it more flexibility to revive and thrive.

UBM PLC has sold Travel Trade Gazette to a new company in a management buy-out...TTG brand director and editor Daniel Pearce will become managing director and owner of TTG Media Limited. Managing editor Pippa Jacks is to be the new editor of TTG, after seven years in a variety of roles on the media brand.

Under the new ownership the brand will continue to operate weekly magazine for the travel industry TTG, quarterly title ttgluxury, news-driven website ttgdigital.com and a series of events including the TTG Travel Awards and the TTG On Tour nationwide roadshows for travel agents.
