Don't count your deals before they've hatched. Coronavirus has killed valuations of many companies, and deals along with them. On the other hand, some companies, such as Grubhub, are in the right place at the right time.

It appears as though Condor, previous part of the collapsed Thomas Cook, may get nationalized by the German government. Is Condor too big to fail? Not really.

Given that Thomas Cook released a statement about the potential sale, this looks pretty serious. But it begs the question: Just what will Thomas Cook have left if and when it sells its airlines and Nordics divisions?

Lufthansa sees Condor as a good fit for its existing business. The question is would Thomas Cook split up its airline, and would competition regulators allow it?
