Changi Airport Unveils Its Fifth Interactive Garden

While many U.S. airports are still trying to figure out how to fix that leaky water fountain next to gate 32, Changi is just having fun with its much-loved airport.

Few travelers have ever uttered the phrase “What this airport could use is a futuristic garden filled with LED lights and Koi ponds,” but Singapore’s Changi Airport doesn’t care — they’re giving it to us anyway.

And do it Changi can, as the airport administrators know how to keep travelers happier than any other airport in the world.

The new “Enchanted Garden” feature is in Terminal 2’s departure hall is a mix of lights and sounds that are activated by movement as well as less high-tech elements like cut flowers and shallow fish ponds. Changi already has two other garden features in Terminal 2, as well as one each in Terminals 1 and 3.
