Travel Leaders Acquires UK-Based Event Management Company

Skift Take

Consolidation continues in the global event management marketplace, with Travel Leaders Group investing more in international assets that expand its reach in a crowded marketplace.

Travel Leaders Group, the largest travel agency in the U.S., has lately set its sights on international expansion to complement its variety of offerings in North America.

The agency group will acquire UK-based Your Event Solutions (YES), an event management agency with offices in Europe, the U.S., and United Arab Emirates, to round out its global portfolio of companies in the meetings sector.

Your Event Solutions, which was founded in 2001, works with a variety of association and corporate clients around the world. The price of the deal was not disclosed yet the company’s branding and workforce will continue normal operations.

“We are so excited YES has been identified as the perfect partner to expand Travel Leaders Group’s [meetings] offering globally,” said Sue Gill, founder and CEO of Your Event Solutions, in a statement. “Becoming part of Travel Leaders Group gives us a broader platform of service offerings to provide to our existing and new clients including technology solutions, as well as corporate, entertainment, and leisure travel offerings and expertise.”

Since Travel Leaders Group CEO Ninan Chacko joined the company in 2015, it has been aggressive with mergers and acquisitions, leading to increased consolidation in the leisure and business travel space.

Travel Leaders Group acquired Travel Management Partners and Mexico-based Corporate Travel Services over the last two years to bolster its presence in the corporate market. It also bought Altour, a large full service travel agency, in 2017 to increase its strength in the international market, along with a Scottish leisure retail chain in 2018.

“Bringing YES into the Travel Leaders Group family creates some exciting new prospects for both enterprises,” said Chacko. “Sue and her team at YES are innovative, enthusiastic and place a high priority on personalized service.”
