U.S. State Department Issues Worldwide Terror Alert for August
The U.S. State Department issued a worldwide terror alert for August today. The alert does not push travelers to stay at home, but encourages them to register travel plans with the State Department prior to departure.
The State Department issued a similar alert in September 2010 after a Florida pastor's plans to burn Korans on September 11 was feared to provoke anti-U.S. demonstrations.
