Mobile bookings are on the rise worldwide and increased adoption in Asia is more likely due to the kind of devices that people own than their booking preferences.
Travelers from Asia are the most likely demographic to book, search, and compare accommodation options on mobile devices, according to a survey conducted by AsiaRooms.com and Lenovo.
The survey of 6,000 people found that travelers across all demographics are more likely to search for accommodations on a mobile device than actually book or compare prices.
The top deterrents to using mobile device for accommodation booking are hard-to-read content on small device screens and a slow or unstable Internet connection.
