A French antitrust body filed a complaint with Paris’s commercial court against Expedia Inc. attacking a contract clause that gives the U.S. online booking giant a say in how, and at what price, some French partner hotels sell their rooms.
The General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control, known as the DGCCRF, also warned that it would take similar legal action against another online booking company before the end of the year, without naming the company.
