Delta will unveil extensive renovations to Terminal 4 at New York-JFK on May 24, and it’s opened a pop-up space in SoHo to show off design elements and tech features. Visitors, whether there on purpose or happenstance, are charging their phones, reading the airline’s Sky Magazine, and eating lunch out of tiny Delta suitcases.
The space is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM, and hosts private events in the evenings. Delta saw just shy of 700 people visit the space this Saturday, slightly fewer than they were aiming for.
This is not the first time Delta has created a pop-up space to celebrate a real-life opening. A SKY 360 pop-up space opened temporarily on 57th Street and 6th Avenue in 2007 to give customers the look and feel of Delta’s in-flight experience.
