More on UberX’s low-cost hybrid alternative to Town Cars

Uber this week will add lower-cost hybrid cars to its San Francisco and New York fleets through a new feature called UberX.

The move signals Uber’s greater sprawling ambition to be a platform for all sorts of transportation, logistics and deliveries — not just a black-car, status-symbol provider.
