Four hospitality companies — Kimpton, Marriott, Four Seasons, and Hyatt — made it onto Fortune Magazine’s list of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2013.
This is the 17th year that Four Seasons Hotels appeared on the list and it is one of 13 companies to appear every year since the list’s inception in 1998. However, the company is in the process of downsizing.
The fastest growing hospitality company on the list is also the youngest.
Kimpton Hotels was founded more than 20 years after the other featured companies in 1981. It is the largest chain of boutique hotels in the U.S. and its growth is somewhat representative of guests’ growing preference for unique design properties.
The top 100 companies are based on employee surveys at a self-selecting group of 257 organizations. The survey asks questions that measure employees’ attitude on management, job satisfaction, and company culture.
