Delta Launches In-flight Food Collaboration With Danny Meyer’s Group

  • Skift Take
In the race to offer stand-out first class service, gourmet food is an important tool. With a famous chef, Delta gets a step up.

Some Delta Air Lines flights will now feature meals by award-winning chef Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, the airline announced.

The new collaboration will provide high-end meals for certain key business routes. The Group’s Blue Smoke Restaurant will service Delta’s JFK-Heathrow flights, with both a meal and a signature cocktail. Blue Smoke Restaurant also opened its first U.S. airport restaurant at Delta’s new JFK terminal this year.

Delta said in a press release that the partnership would pave the way for future food collaborations with USHG restaurants.
