Chileans may be able to visit U.S. without visa starting in 2014

    No agreement has been confirmed by either side, but visa-free travel between the two countries could spark similar deals through the region.

    From 2014 Chileans wishing to travel to the United States can do so without having to request a visa thanks to a new agreement between the two countries.  This will make Chile the only Latin American country that will not need a visa to enter the US.

    President Sebastián Piñera will travel to the US in June to meet with President Barack Obama and will address the progress of the visa waiver program, among other subjects.
