Hong Kong-based mobile wallet startup PassKit that offers a B2B service for building Apple Passbook applications, has secured $1.2 million in first round of its funding.
The 10-employee company, which launched in June 2012, didn’t disclose the investors involved in this Series A round. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about the investors.
PassKit offers a Passbook Designer product geared to enable companies to offer “mobile coupons, boarding passes, event tickets, store cards and other forms of mobile payments…” the company says, aiming at the Apple’s recently launched Passbook service that a lot of travel/airline companies are using to provide boarding passes/checkins.
