It won’t matter if recipients use the credit or another shuns its services as Silicon Valley shoppers will have already boosted Uber’s December profits by becoming trendy gifters.
Uber, the high-end ride service, has today announced Uber Gifts. This is a new program that allows users of the service to send rides to others in the form of a credit voucher.
The service incurs no fees, though the sender must be an Uber user with an active credit card in order to use the service. The gift is delivered in a PDF and is not refundable. The gifts don’t expire, but can’t be redeemed for cash.
