There are things I know well: smartphones, home-theater systems and classic record players. Automobiles, on the other hand, is not a topic I explore much outside the occasional Internet search to see if flying cars are finally a thing (yeah, still not).
So there I was, a fresh re-transplant to Los Angeles (I grew up out here) after 17 years of blissful public transit in New York City. In Los Angeles, along with food and sunblock, one needs a car. Let me rephrase that: One spends half of one’s life in a car, and thus must find a car whose interior is blessed with comfort and technological wonders.
