Condé Nast Traveler celebrates turning 25 by selling “trips of a lifetime”

  • Skift Take
As it approaches its twenty-fifth birthday, Conde Nast Traveler, like its rival Travel + Leisure, is trying to adapt to a digital-first world without losing the magic of the printed page.

Condé Nast Traveler will commemorate its 25th anniversary by offering what is being billed as deeply discounted grand travel packages created for the promotion. The World on Sale, as the promotion is called, includes more than 30 trips to destinations like Argentina, China, India and Russia.

The packages offer experiences that include a helicopter flight over Mount Everest at sunrise; a day at Highclere Castle, where the television series “Downton Abbey” is filmed; and a tour of Wolgan Valley in Australia, which a young Charles Darwin visited in 1836, accompanied by his great-great-grandson, Chris Darwin.
