Cramped in the middle seat of an economy class cabin is the last place that any American wants to be on Super Bowl Sunday.
JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, and Virgin America will ease the pain of flying that day airing the game live on seat-back seats throughout the plane.
Travelers on domestic JetBlue flights this Sunday evening will be able to flip between the game and other sports channels including the NFL Network and ESPN. The airline is also handing out Snyder’s Hot Buffalo Wing flavored pretzels and making each passenger’s first alcoholic drink just $1.
JetBlue is based in New York City and using the game as a marketing opportunity to show off its spirit.
“Fun is one of our core values,” JetBlue’s director of marketing Roger Johnson said in a statement.
For Traveling Fans
Alaska Airlines will offer a special treat to Seahawk fans flying from Seattle to New York City starting this Thursday.
“We are serving skittles, the favorite candy of Seahawk’s Marshawn Lynch,” explains an Alaska Airlines spokesperson. “We’ll also stock up on extra beer, liquor and wine.”
