Antigua & Barbuda Cruise Tourism President Nathan Dundas is calling on authorities to set up a tourism police force.
Dundas said it is important “to ensure that we have adequate security and safety of the passengers, especially when we have large throngs of passengers congregated on different areas like the beaches.”
“We need to have uniformed policemen – dressed in soft clothing, probably t-shirts. It’s nothing new; it has taken place in St Maarten, St Kitts and other destinations,” Dundas said.
