Virgin America gets an assist from Xerox in a new commercial that highlights Virgin America’s persona as a “cool” brand.
In the Xerox video, a passenger seated near the rear of the Virgin America plane gets up and opens what he thinks will be a restroom, only to find a cheery, Virgin America call center, which is outsourced to Xerox, in the tail section of the Airbus A320.
The tagline is: “Virgin America knows it’s better for Xerox to manage their call centers so they can focus on making flying cool again. With Xerox, you are ready for real business.”
Of course, Virgin America digs being portrayed as cool, but probably wouldn’t make a commercial on its own highlighting the fact that its customer service is outsourced.
But, hell, in this instance, the call center isn’t in India or Uruguay — it’s in a re-outfitted restroom at the back of the plane.
