  • Skift Take
Sudan wants to promote itself and ensure tour operators comply with national laws as it tries to convince the world that the country will soon be ready to welcome tourists. But, its civil war will make this a very hard sell.

The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) announced that it has just admitted its first destination member from the Sudan, the Ministry of Tourism & Wildlife.

Sudan’s Ministry of Tourism & Wildlife includes the wildlife preservation department, tourism police forces department, international Sudanese tourism company, and international Quasr Company.

The ministry set up tourism law and the regulation in order to organize tourism activity and work, and to confirm the authorization of the federal ministry in controlling and inspecting tourist institutions and establishments on federal and states levels, keeping standardization and specification in the hotels and in tourism establishments.
