As summer travel approaches, the eternal question of what to pack and how to pack comes up every year, like clockwork. It isn’t hard, but it requires some discipline.
Instead of laying out all the rules we have learned over the years, we decided to turn to that font of all human knowledge captured on video: YouTube.
Below are the top five most popular pack-like-a-pro videos from YouTube that we judged were useful enough for everyone, from a travel newbie going for a solo summer trip for the first time, to the business travel pro.
The first video below, at 5.2 million views on YouTube, is the most popular, but too fast to get the full import of all the tricks and techniques. Still, shows the possibilities of what can be done without too much effort.
This second video, from Heathrow Airport, sort of does a slower version of the first video, and is definitely among the most helpful.
This third one is the most methodical, and the best in terms of learnings.
The fourth one is the woman’s version, focused on effectively packing everything into a carry-on bag.
The last one is by Holiday Inn Express, and is helpful for business travelers.
