Even the most efficient business travelers may find themselves forgetting something or running out of time to take care of a personal errand before a flight. Airports, particularly those in Europe and Asia, are responding by offering an increasing array of services like hair salons, medical clinics and dry cleaners.
Whether with hair salons, spas, pharmacies or other services, airports are likely to expand their offerings in the coming years based on what passengers want, said Mr. Massey, of the airport design firm Corgan. “Social media has played a big role in airports’ being able to better understand passenger desires and capture customer feedback on a nearly real-time basis,” via airport Twitter feeds and Facebook pages.
