CNN caught up with the disabled Carnival Triumph via helicopter this morning as it gets towed to Mobile, Alabama.
Passenger Larry Poret describes the ordeal in raw detail.
An engine room fire on Sunday crippled the ship, and it is being towed to port, with its arrival now scheduled for this evening. However, officials are saying an evening arrival may be problematic since ships can’t be towed into port after dark, and that leaves open the possibility that the passengers could have to spend another agonizing night onboard.
Hopefully, there will be an exception to that rule.
