    Amazing to think you have to rip apart a new aircraft after delivery, to install Wi-Fi. Why can’t it be inbuilt into the plane while manufacturing? The answer is: it costs less for AA to do it themselves.

    When a new plane arrives at the American Airlines maintenance hangar, the first thing they do is dig in to install the Wi-Fi. The antenna goes into the luggage hold, so a few things need to be removed before installation.
