Skift Take

As traveler demand has plummeted and the industry works to consider what is next, Skift is taking the value and deep conversations that our forums and summits are known for to a virtual arena with a series of new online summits.

As a response to massive shifts caused by the global coronavirus outbreak, the editorial team at Skift has worked tirelessly to report and document the impact this virus has had across the industry. As a continuation of that coverage, we are announcing today a new series of online summits — called Travel’s Path Forward — focused on taking these conversations further across many sub-sectors of travel.

Similar to our global events, these webinars will bring industry executives and business leaders together with Skift’s editorial and research teams to discuss what’s next and to explore how to drive business forward in this post-coronavirus age.

Business Travel Online Summit – March 31 at 11A.m. ET

On Tuesday, March 31, we will host our first virtual event in this new series — Travel’s Path Forward: Business Travel — specifically addressing the key challenges, crisis management, and future planning needed in the business travel sector.

This virtual event will feature video interviews and frank conversations with some of the top TMCs (travel management companies), buyers, suppliers, and consultants in managed travel, providing an overview of this new travel landscape, how the global outbreak has affected the industry, and ideas on how to best adapt to these shifts in the future. Join us as we present research and interview speakers online, including:

  • Eric Bailey — Microsoft Global Director Travel, VenueSource and Payment

  • Rob Greyber — Egencia President

  • Si-Yeon Kim — American Express Global Business Travel Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

  • More speakers to be announced.

Learn more about our speakers and program here, and note that registration for this online event is free. While we are doing this as a service for the travel community, please consider making a voluntary contribution to Support Skift’s journalists’ work in these crucial times, here.
