Maltese workers get the best deal when it comes to vacation time [24 paid vacation days plus 14 national holidays], racking up the most days off, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Mexico, Turkey and the U.S. come at the bottom of the list of OECD member countries. In the U.S., there is no statutory time off, whereas the European Union has a legal requirement of at least 20 days a year.
