It looks like Uber has another competitor but Shuddle won't be on Uber's radar any time soon.

Each week we create a roundup of travel startups that have received or announced funding that week. The total amount raised this week was a little more than $25.5 million.

Here are six companies that announced they raised funding this week, listed in order by the highest amount raised. See previous roundups here.

>>Shuddle raised a $9.6 million Series A round from investor RRE Ventures, bringing the San Francisco-based startup’s total funding to $12.2 million.

This transportation startup offers a mobile rideshare app and is similar to Uber but targets children needing to get to sports practices, for example, and seniors looking for more safety because of Shuddle’s rigorous background checks.

>>OneTwoTrip raised an $8 million venture round from new investor Goldman Sachs, bringing the London-based startup’s total funding to $33 million.

OneTwoTrip lets travelers compare flight itineraries and prices, and book travel.

>>Oktogo raised a $5 million venture round from new investor MCI Management and existing investors Ventech, ABRT Venture Fund and Mangrove Capital Partners. This brings the St. Petersburg, Russia-based startup’s total funding to more than $31 million.

Octopi states that MCI Management amounts to the first funding by a Western company in Russia in at least 10 months.

Oktogo includes online hotel booking service Oktogo.ru and Travel.ru with a total monthly audience of three million visitors. Designed for Russian travelers, Oktogo offers travel-related content and a booking platform for more than 8,000 hotels in Russia and 350,000 hotels worldwide.

>>Xotelia raised a $1.2 million venture round from investment firms Newfund and Optivalue, bringing the Grenoble, France-based startup’s total funding to $1.4 million.

Xotelia is a software company offering a platform enabling owners of vacation rentals to manage their properties, prices and reservations on multiple online booking websites.

>>Lingua raised a $1 million seed round from new investors Yochy Investments, Shai Rephaeli, Udi Netzer and 1776 Ventures. This brings the Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup’s total funding to $1.5 million.

Lingua is a language learning tool for mobile and desktop that collects new words from across the Internet in what the startup calls a “smart dictionary.” Lingua is also cloud-synced and supports more than 18 languages.

>>hopON raised a $750,000 seed round from investor New Enterprise Associates.

The San Francisco-based startup is a mobile and desktop platform letting travelers book travel and share their trip itineraries with friends and family. It also lets group members pay for shared trip expenses.
