Sceptics abounded when Southwest and DISH announced free in-flight programming last year. How long would the promotion last? The answer came today as the deal will extend throughout 2014.
Southwest Airlines and DISH announced Thursday that the free programming offered on Southwest flights will continue being free through the end of 2014.
“By extending our partnership with Southwest we are able to give their customers a sample of what DISH customers experience on a daily basis, their favorite TV programs, anytime, anywhere and at no additional cost, simply the best mobile TV experience,” Moorhead said.
The two companies launched the promotion in July 2013. At that time, neither would say how long it might remain free.
