The new American Airlines is chomping at the bit to get this merger moving.

Today United States bankruptcy judge Sean Lane approved the anti-trust settlement between American Airlines and U.S. Airways and the U.S. Justice Department.

An announcement in favor of the settlement was expected, but not assured. American Air wasn’t going to sit and wait for the judge’s OK to celebrate. Yesterday the airline posted a pre-emptive video to YouTube titled “The new American Airlines is cleared for takeoff.”

The video is a mix of new clips from November 12, when the settlement with the Justice Department was announced, and speeches and statements by American Air and US Airways leaders. It is in full, below.
