The Travel Wallet is a nice touch, as frequent flyers can now easily access mobile boarding passes, one-time United Club passes and flight notifications in one place. Beyond that the app has some nice additions, but nothing that knocks your socks, or anything else, off.

- Flight status displays get updated in United’s new iOS 7 app, showing amenities on the flight, and providing additional abilities to share location and flight status on social media.
- United’s Travel Wallet in its updated iOS 7 app contains United Club passes, mobile boarding passes, and Mileage Plus information.
United optimized its app for iOS 7, inserting some nice new features without adding anything that would make for a “wow” factor.
United added multi-segment award booking, and that will be a convenience for business travelers.
The airline also added a new seat map design; travel cards for mobile boarding passes, MileagePlus and UnitedClub, and a Travel Wallet containing upcoming flight information, and notifications.
The airline says the update, which is optimized for the iPhone and iOS 7 and compatible with the iPad, also provides an enhanced calender for flight search, expanded flight search results, a revamped display of mobile boarding passes with multi-passenger view.
An update to United Android app for the KitKat operating system will be coming in a few months, United says.
