Skift Take

It's too bad that an airline didn't think of this first and offer the bit of nostalgia as part of its first-class amenities package. Then again, maybe Flug Zeug will get into that business.

From the man who brought you of belts made from airplane safety straps, now comes yet another aviation-inspired fashion statement.

Using old decommissioned airline flotation vests, Andreas Roesler-Schmidt, the founder of Vienna-based Flug Zeug, fashioned bright yellow, water-resistant sleeves for personal electronic devices. The ‘upcycled’ product, which the company calls simply ‘SLEEVE,’ comes in three sizes – for iPhone, iPad, and iPad mini.

They go for between $64 and $91.
