Southern Living is putting its stamp of approval on a group of one-of-a-kind, upscale independent hotels with its new Southern Living Hotel Collection, the magazine announced today.

Member hotels are vetted by the magazine’s editors and pay a fee to be part of the collection…Nightly rates can climb into the four figures at these lodgings, chosen because they shine in one or more aspects of the magazine’s core areas, including food, architecture and landscape.
