Donald Trump’s newest hotel venture only needs Congressional approval to move ahead, while Americans with any historical or design sense bemoan the loss of the national institution.
Donald Trump’s latest business venture will take him just a few blocks away from the White House where he will reconstruct the historic Old Post Office building into one of his luxury hotels, according to a new report.
The General Services Administration and the Trump Organization have come to an agreement in which Trump will turn the 114-year-old post office into a luxury hotel, which will include restaurants, conference rooms and a spa, “while preserving and enhancing all of its historic features,” the GSA told CNN in a report Wednesday. The deal will be reviewed by Congress.
