Passengers shop at airports to pass the time between flights, so a mobile shopping experience doesn’t make much sense unless would-be shoppers are scoping out the inventory before they arrive.

ANA Aeroportos de Portugal has enhanced the functionality of its ANA Portuguese Airports app. The upgraded version allows for online booking and payment for airport shopping and parking.

The app now links directly to ANA’s e-commerce platform Airport Shopping Online, allowing users to order a range of products and services, from foreign currency to airport meeting rooms. Passengers can also use the app to shop from the Duty Free Store, operated by The Nuance Group joint venture Lojas Franca de Portugal, and other airport shops.
