The UN World Tourism Organization has been hyping up the one-billion-tourists-traveled-in-2012 mark today, which in and of itself is just a random marker, but on a macro level globally means more jobs — travel accounts for one in every 12 jobs and 30% of the world’s services exports — especially more jobs that lead to the rise of the global middle class.
