Because someone asked: The travel habits of Iranians

Skift Take

Clearly a growth (aka yet-to-grow) market, mostly outward bound, as the tight sanctions on Iran continue.

Yes, someone did ask. Chimigi is Iran’s first online research panel, and recently released the results of its travel and tourism study called "The Iranian Traveler", which benchmarks the travel frequency and preferences of religious, leisure and business travelers in Iran.

Few highlights of the survey (via Tfour.me):
-- Emirates is the most preferred airline for leisure and business.
-- Dubai remains the top most visited destination
-- Gulf countries held the top spot for visitors at 31%, followed by Asia (26%), Western Europe (21%), Eastern Europe (14%), and the Levant (13%).
-- Hilton and Sheraton are the top most preferred hotel brands
