Skift Take

HotelTonight puts simplicity and curation in the palm of users' hands.

Sam Shank, co-founder and CEO of HotelTonight, spoke earlier this month at the Skift Global Forum.

Before HotelTonight, Shank founded and was CEO of DealBase.com, a travel deals search engine, and was CEO of TravelPost.com, a hotel reviews site.

When Skift spoke to Shank this summer, he explained how HotelTonight approaches curation: “The way we think about curation at HotelTonight is that it should feel like recommendations from the coolest person at the cocktail party you are at or recommendations from your most in-the-know friend.”

And from the stage at the Skift Global Forum, Shank told the audience, “This is more than just HotelTonight. This is a concept where people are saying that they don’t have enough time to go through all the options, whey they want only the best options that are right for them, brought to me.”

Over the next three weeks, we will publish in full the presentations and interviews from the Forum. To follow along as they are added, bookmark this page.
