Connecting the physical to the digital is a key challenge for destinations and attractions.

Sree Sreenivasan, the first Chief Digital Officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, spoke earlier this month at the Skift Global Forum.

At the Met, Sreenivasan leads a team devoted to digital, social, mobile, video, apps, data and more. He joined the Met after spending over two decades at Columbia University as a full-time professor at Columbia Journalism School and a year as the university’s first Chief Digital Officer.

“Audiences are overstimulated, hyper-connected and overcommitted.” Sreenivasan told the audience. “The best news of all is they’re curious.”
