Ctrip.com International the Chinese online travel giant, has taken a stake in local ticketing provider LY.com, for a cash consideration of up to $200 million.

The strategic investment is being made through Ctrip subsidiary Shanghai Ctrip International Travel Agency Ltd and will make Ctrip the largest shareholder in Tongcheng behind only its own management team.
