The flexible policy makes particular sense in the Las Vegas market, but there's no word on whether other brands will bend their own rigid check-out times to match the competition.

Checking out of a weekend bender in Vegas just got a lot easier for guests at the Palms Casino Resorts in Las Vegas.

The resort rolled out a new 24-hour check-out policy this week, which basically means guests can check out at the same time they checked in. If they check in at 11 pm on Friday, they don’t have to check out until 11 pm on the day of departure.

Palms CEO Daniel Lee says it’s the first Vegas hotel to offer such a flexible check-out policy.

This is a big change from the traditional 12 pm or 1 pm check-out time at most hotels today. And it makes particular sense for the Vegas market where travelers come seeking freedom for everyday rules.

To access the new amenity, guests will need to book their room directly on the hotel’s website and submit their expected check-in time. They’ll also have to provide their mobile number upon arrival in order to receive a text reminder one hour before check-out.
